Title: Cameratrapping

Hello i am setting cameratrap and pir sensor is detected falsely in day times , is it possible to adjust canon 550d ör 100d work only the times we set , so my camera will work only at night as i set?

External power supply + timer = Done.

Or use Lua script to do it in cam.

I didnt use timer before, i think timer is useless for me as i leave cameratrsp in the field about several weeks ...

Quite on the contrary: I would never trust software alone (ML or not: n o n e) over such long time. If your cam gets stuck for whatever reason you are lost.
Proper engineering uses something called "Watchdog timer". You will find them in industrial designs (earth and space), esp. in non-maintainable environments.
Arduino, Raspberry (and others) do contain watchdogs.
