Title: Disable focusing rectangle
Post by: G a r y on July 12, 2018, 10:04:57 PM
Hello,

I bought a Canon SL2/200D for doing live streams, however,  I cannot disable the focusing rectangle. Is there a way to do that? By default it is impossible in the settings.

Have you tried using the autocus (on/off) switch on your lens?

I'd like that too. I can only hide it through Global Draw Off.

Not sure how it works on other cams, but if I set 'AF Method' to 'Live mode' In Canon video menu, I can make the focus box dissapear with 'set' button and 'trashcan' button. Didn't load ML to test this, as there is no ML for the 200d.

I can only hide it through Global Draw Off.

Other options:
Prefs -> Focus box settings -> Display "Auto-Hide"
Display -> Clear Overlays
