Title: ARMConsole on AWS
Post by: nanomad on August 20, 2012, 02:57:55 PM
I just realized that amazon gives away 1 free year of the starter AWS cloud service. Could that be used to run ARM console to build the HTML firmware files for myself?
The only drawback is 600Mb of RAM but I think we can probably get away with enough swap....

Should I go for it?

That was my fear. Do you have any experience with AWS?

btw I can probably work on making ARM Console use multiple cores and that should speed up things dramatically...

@Michael
For each firmware dump you can produce a nice set of HTML files with disassembled code and such. You must keep them private, as they contain Canon code but they are very helpful during development.

I tried to crack wpa on it... too slow. It does need to work on more cores.  I have a 4 core box with 16gb and it was only using 1 core and like 3gb only. The paid boxes will do it for sure but check the specs of the free one.
