Title: Focus Peaking colours: "global focus" & "local focus"?
Post by: Rehaan on August 20, 2012, 02:38:55 PM
What do "global focus" & "local focus" mean when selected as options in the focus peaking menu?

Do the different colours shown in these modes represent something?

Why would i choose one of these over a plain colour like Red for example?

Thanks!

Warmer colors = higher contrast.

Ahh thanks! That explains the multiple colours.

However, what is the difference between "Global focus" and "Local focus"? What do they mean?

Lastly, a thought for the future:
Instead of warm/cold colours, would it be possible to use transparencies? (eg. a 90% opacity focus peak for something high contast/in focus, and 40% for a softer edge/less in focus)

Cheers, and keep up the awesome work!!
