Title: Using a canon sensor to build a camera from the ground up powered by ML
Post by: Hilx on January 22, 2018, 12:15:02 PM
The other night I was thinking to myself about making a camera from the ground up using the sensor from my Canon 700D or any other camera, or modifying the existing camera to be able to write at higher speeds and onto SSD. I did some research and I couldn't find anything about what kind of interface does the camera sensor use or any other thing. So if anyone has messed around with the same idea or something knows about any of the hardware specs and would share them I'd be grateful.

The closest thing I'm aware of:

Other than a few registers (http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=10111.0) out of many hundreds, the image sensor interface is mostly unknown to me.
