I tried the ML Dec 17 for canon 5d mark II , and all the time I use it. after that I take the card out to transfer the footage, but if I turn on the camera this does not turn on..even putting back the cf with ML.
To restart the camera I have to take the battery,lens and card off , press the shutter button for at least 15 seconds ..insert the lens the battery the card that has to be formatted...and than the camera starts
again...I am happy with the result with ML but am afraid to damage the camera going on like this..
On ML I upload only the raw video mlv.
Anybody has the same problem?

Handling 5D2 takes some care. Otherwise you will put card and cam in harms way.
After opening card compartment it is striktly out of the question *not* to wait for card write operations to complete. Yes, cam does write to card with power switch turned to OFF!
So: Open card compartment, wait for a few seconds, then remove card.
