Title: HDR + Intervalometer
Post by: accrama on August 15, 2012, 10:21:56 PM
Hi.

I am new to ML but could not find a similar topic on the forum.
I have a 550D.

I set the HDR bracketing to 0 - + -- ++ and the intervalometer to 15 s, allowing for the bracketing pictures to be taken in that time frame. What I get in the end is sometimes 5 pictures and sometimes 6 before a new loop of bracketing begins.

This is really annoying for it does not allow for batch processing of HDR images.  >:(

Has anyone experienced something similar?  :-\
What am I doing wrong?  :-[

Your help is very much appreciated  :D

Do you have the number of shots set to Automatic? It's the first option in the bracketing sub-menu. Make sure to specify a specific value (e.g. 5).

@Malcolm

The value was set to AUTOMATIC.
I will specify the number on the next try.

Is there any specific timing between each bracketing photo?
Can I make it go faster or slower between brackets?

Thank you very much.

That was the cause of your problem then, since ML was calculating how much shots were required to cover the whole dynamic range  :)

Timing between the photos in the same HDR set should be a little faster since there's no need to do calculations that were done when it was set to Auto.

You can vary the time between brackets from the Intervalometer sub-menu.
