Title: Green channel or sensor error
Post by: aace on August 14, 2012, 02:11:49 AM
Herro!

I'm experiencing an error from time to time with the ML ISO configurations. I understand that the ML ISO supposedly pokes at the DIGIC processor to achieve the incremental ISO settings but is this dangerous with long term use? I've uploaded two videos to youtube that I've recorded with this error. Has anyone else experienced this error? Please help.

If your notes below the video are correct you are not really using as it was intended.

You have the Analog ISO set to 200, Digital -0.3EV and ML -2EV. The ML ISO adjustment should be used alone, not on top of the digital gain. You should set Analog to 100, Digital to 0 and ML to whatever value gives you your preferred exposure. In practice, -1EV ML ISO is as far as you can go without experiencing issues with color. Always set the analog as close as you can to your target ISO.

You are using v2.3 correct?

Yes, thanks for the prompt response. This error appeared both on the RC and the 2.3 release.
