Title: Canon EOS M switching between Vintage and Kit lens
Post by: igrease on August 28, 2017, 10:50:54 PM
Basically installed Magic Lantern and noticed an issue. So when I first installed ML my 18-55mm kit lens worked fine. Then I switched it out to use my 55mm MF Vintage lens. However the problem occurs when I want to use my kit lens again. It no longer lets me adjust the aperture or even take a photo. I can still Auto Focus and record video. I think I fixed it by doing a soft-format on the camera but obviously the same issue occurs once I swap out lenses again.

The main reason I use ML is for the forced Exposure Simulation. Unless I am blind I don't think the EOS M has that feature in the options.

Is there any fix for this?

Try pressing Q twice when in liveview. If eosm has that button. Also try going in to canon menu and back to liveview.
