Title: Audio RemoteShoot on EOS 600D
Post by: Deepabysm on August 11, 2012, 06:49:13 PM
Hey everyone,
I guess it might have been already asked a couple of times, but I searched for it and all I found was this thread (http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=1036.0). My question is whether there is a patch or something bringing the Audio RemoteShoot function on the EOS 600D. I read some parts of the mentioned thread and only found the following answer regarding to my question:

We have understood what most audio registers do, but reconfiguring the chip seems a very difficult task. The only success was enabling audio remote shot, but it breaks video recording.

Does this mean that there actually is a way to bring the audio remote shot function on the EOS 600D? Will it maybe come as an update together with Audio Controls (if they even get released)?

Wow, you have low hopes. Audio remote shot has been working in development builds for a while... even before we got the auidio IC docs.
