Title: Output resolution more Issues
Post by: hollywoodlover2000 on April 24, 2017, 10:57:22 AM
After getting great help from you guys about using MLV Dump i still have an Issue not getting a Good output. I had used at least 2 diffrent example Videos now this is the 3rd one wich i found.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBnKyUWzF8k

I have a canon EOS 600D / T3i
and using an SD card just like this Guy in this VIdeo
But he Records with 14bit in a resolution of 1728x648 for at least 10sec.
i use a 10bit ML Version and cannot get higher than 1200 in resolution
even if i use 24p mode it seems not to be possible.....

Why?

This Guy has the same Cam as i do and i do have the fastest SD Card thats possible for this Cams hardware in fact i have an SD Card thats faster what the Cam can handle so i do get the Maximum out of it and still cannot do what this Guy has done....

Did you set the SD card to exFAT?

Did you enable the memoryhacks within the raw video menu ?
Look for 'use srm job memory' and 'extra hacks' and turn those two on.
This will free up some more memory, which results in longer recording times.

use srm job memory is on
extra hacks doesn't seem to exist on my version i have an option called Small hacks that is on

@DeafEyeJed
yes it is formated in exFat
the SD Card was formated inside the Camera it formats in exFat by standard...

On 650D card with size > 32 GB will get ExFAT file system if formated in cam. On 600D ... I don't know.
More things I don't know:
- Where OP found the information 600D is capable of writing 30 MByte/s
- How many seconds OP is able to record in which resolution
- Which RAW module is actually used
- If there are additional modules loaded
- If OP tested older builds to compare performance (old raw_rec.mo vs. new one)
- Actual benchmark numbers in cam for given card.

Please Tell me about the benchmark i did load the module today but i have gotten behind things so i couldn't do the tests yet but how can i set it so that i get something smart out of it  (i recorded so far 1344 x 756 with 11 seconds rec. time) its way below than the sample video. I have downloaded a 2014 version but not tested yet i first wanna try to see if i can do this with this version. Raw module used is ...MLV lite v 1.1 i have MLV v2.0 as well do you think that might do better?

Maybe there is a more patient person than I (there are) willing to give you the kind of support you want to get. For free, that is.
