Title: DNG to 10 bit Log Video
Post by: gamedesign on April 22, 2017, 04:23:43 PM
Hi All

Does anyone know the best (or just a good way) to convert DNG sequences into Log video. I want to retain flexibility by having at least 10 bit footage with quite flat as if I had shot it on a GH4 using V-Log.
Using the MLV Viewer to convert the footage straight to Prores always produces colour noise.
At the moment I convert my footage to DNG with MLVViewer and then I convert my DNGs to PNGs (after doing my adjustments in Canon RAW) so they are more manageable in Premier. This method does produce colour noise.

Any ideas would be really helpful, thanks.

Re: log -- have you checked out @Andy600's latest Cinelog DCP?

Re: colour noise -- have you tried looking into DarkFraming average processing yet?
