Hello, I'm an RF engineer by trade and electronics hacker/maker with experience in MCU programming and PCB design. I currently buy and repair broken Canon cameras as a hobby/supplemental income, and I'm interested in learning more about the inner workings of these cameras (it's helpful for debugging also). I've got a wiki/blog, though I don't tend to post too often. I'd be happy to help contribute to ML with hardware requests, I do get quite a few broken cameras (mostly older models) through my bench. Currently I've got for personal use a 7D Mk I and slated for repair a 700D (SD card slot needs replacing).

this would be cool as it sometimes helps when reverse engineering to look up whats on the PCB :)

Sure I'll be happy to help with that, I can start with the 700D once the SD slot arrives (if it ever does, the first one already got lost in transit).

I would be very interested in the upload of good pictures of both sides of the 5DmIII PCB especially if they appear to change (little chance, but...) from oldest to newest cameras (for instance a change in the number of memory chips (buffer)).
