Title: Any MLV to Blender workflows?
Post by: iRedM on April 05, 2017, 03:14:19 AM
I haven't seen any workflows for MLV to Blender (Blender.org) which are both great projects; so I thought how about one? If any, already exists; let me know.

Are you talking about the video editing in Blender?
Well, MLV is just a bunch of raw files that then can be converted to some more command video format.

But Blender video editing seems to be a little... limited. Maybe Kdenlive or Natron would fit better.
I would suggest:

MLV > cr2hdr > Rawtherapee (with some Hald CLUT) > PNG sequence > ffmpeg to some lossless format > Kdenlive or Natron

You can just use MLVFS and use the dng files that are transcoded on the fly ;)
