Title: Exposure compensation for super matte focusing screens
Post by: Elfotografoalocado on March 31, 2017, 04:38:52 PM
A number of Canon EOS cameras have aftermarket, official focusing screens, for instance the super matte ones for manual focusing with fast lenses.
These focusing screens change metering, but the cameras that support them have metering profiles for their focusing screen.
Could similar profiles be implemented for cameras that don't officially support them, such as the 7D, for proper light metering? (The 7D Mark 2 does support a super matte focusing screen, so the same values would work fairly well for an Eg-s screen adapted to the original 7D for instance)
