Space is very limited when I record to RAW video.

It might eventually be possible to record compressed raw video: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=18443.0 . Until then it would be pretty easy to use the proof of concept code in that thread to convert MLVs to compressed DNGs in camera.
