Title: What to study to eventually be able to help with developing
Post by: Francesco on February 04, 2017, 02:24:43 AM
Hi all,

Please take this post "lightly", I am a real noob with all this stuff.

So, I just finished studying this book (https://www.google.it/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi4lu6YofXRAhWMChoKHffLBrEQFggrMAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.greenteapress.com%2Fthinkpython%2FthinkCSpy.pdf&usg=AFQjCNEll70lX2RX0qy5rGa0m0lH-QXVuA&sig2=xkHg677XgjaqJDsx2R_OcQ) on programming in Python. Now, I know Python has nothing to do with Magic Lantern, and that that is a very basic book. So, even though I have been reading some of the sticky posts in the development section, I was wondering: how could some kind of "study" plan look like so that in, say, a couple of years I could come here and help with developing? I guess C, ARM architecture... other stuff? And in what order?
Don't know if it can help, but I am don't know a lot of mathematics either... I can manage calculus and linear algebra though.

I know Python has nothing to do with Magic Lantern

It has (https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/commits/all?search=file(%27**py%27)).
