Title: New raw mode

So can the new 14bit dcraw mode be used on all canons or just the 5d series? Ive see. Several articles with conflicting explanations now. Id love to tet this on my 60d, 600d, 550d. From what I read it specifically sounds like it was only implemented on 5d3

Huh? dcraw is a raw development software that runs on a computer. Maybe you should post a link to the "articles" you are talking about.

You can already save silent pictures as DNG, they will just be a little smaller now. The linked article is rather misleading and contains a fair amount of misunderstandings.
