Title: Comparison at 720p
Post by: ibrahim on December 01, 2016, 11:09:08 PM
This might be a silly question but If I intend to render a filmed footage to 720p and upload it on Facebook (which accepts max 720p) what is the best to do. I want to preserve as much detail as possible even though I know that Facebook isn't the best place to upload CC-ed ML footage to. But due to the spreading features and the larger audience I seem to have no other choice, for now. Linking from Youtube does not result in the same amount of audience as uploading to FB.

How do I go forward:

1) record in 1080p and then in the render settings downscale to 720p.

2) record in 1080p edit in 720p and render at 720p.

3) render at 1080p and then with a software convert to 720p.

4) record at 720p and edit and render it.

For best results, downscale at the end, so like you're saying in option 1, the render settings.
However, with the video quality of Facebook, I don't expect to see differences in quality if you use the route you mention in 4.
