Title: 550D/T2i RAW record problem
Post by: Juzek on October 20, 2016, 12:26:26 PM
Hi guys. As I reach the recording quality that is on YouTube? My camera with a higher resolution will stop recording even if I have a fast card SanDisk Extreme PRO 90MB/s. I want to achieve quality and especially long time record.
It is a limitation of the camera? The main element of quality is postprocess in programs? I will be grateful for any help. Thanks  :)

SD-card interface is limited to about 21 MByte/s writing.
See rbrune's calculator for sustainable/continuous recording in RAW/MLV mode. Higher resolutions in RAW/MLV will skip frames or stop recording (depending on settings). Only very short clips possible then.
Long time record (> 29:59) is no problem with RAW/MLV, though.
