Title: CDNG grading in Lightroom for export into Resolve 12.5; Image Sequence Problems
Post by: 66dellwood on September 06, 2016, 10:08:20 PM
I am having trouble exporting an image sequence from Lightroom to Resolve that Resolve will see as a sequence (clip) and not as several individual still images.

I have typically converted MLV files from my Canon 5d2 to CDNG and imported those CDNG files into Resolve for grading and editing.  With several dark clips, I was not happy with the grading in Resolve and took the CDNG files instead into LightRoom first.  I was able to get a better result in LightRoom (where I am much more adept).   I sync'ed those edits to all the images and exported all the images out of LR as highest quality JPEGs (they are sequentially numbered).

When I try to import the folder into Resolve 12.5, the images appear as stills in the Resolve media pool and NOT as a clip/sequence.   Any advice on the fix?

Improper exporting from LightRoom?

Media setting somewhere in Resolve that I am missing?

Turns out Lightroom was adding a custom sequential file name on export. Turned it off and exported again. This time Resolve recognized the folder as a clip (sequence). All good. I wish I could quickly get the same grading results in Resolve as I do in Lightroom.
