I'm gonna film a small concert from a tripod in the sound booth and dont plan to do much postprocessing if any. I'm Looking for suggestions on picture styles and settings. I plan to use 1080/30fps at 1/60, max zoom max aperture with AF lock. Is there any benefit to stopping down the kit lens at this resolution?
I dont know how you got on with this but I wouldnt even bother using a specific picture style as you'll probably have such low light level that nothing will help in post (But you say you dont want to do much anyway)
Just set it to the normal picture profile, 24 or 25 FPS for a more cinematic look, with 50FPS, you'll probably be at the lowest number for your F to try and get that exposure right, then adjust the ISO in divisions of 160 until you get "Correct exposure" (So also check the histogram).
TBH though you'll probably find you wont even be able to get it exposed well enough due to low light levels.
