Title: Is it possible this: half press to focus + full press to start/stop recording ?
Post by: kroma on August 22, 2016, 12:56:13 AM
Hi everyone. I'm thinking that it would be awesome to be able to do this: camera mounted on steady, holding the remote shooter (wired) on hand, half press to trigger AF and then (when focus achieved) full press to start recording ........ and again full press to stop recording.

Obviously, by default, the half press triggers AF but the full press takes a still instead of start recording. I know ML has an option to control the start/stop recording with the half press, but if I enable that, I lose the AF trigger (and I can't use the secondary AF trigger because I'm on a steady, it has to be remote thru the wired controller).

So basically, Is there any way to control the start/stop recording fuction with the full press, so I can use the half press to trigger AF as usual?
Thank you very much!

Ps: Im on a 60D running the lastest nightly build
