My 50d has lowest iso of 200. i set dual iso range 100/800 since i don't want higher than 800 grain etc. the difference between 100 and 800 is 3 stops. Is it possible to do this with my camera or 200/800 is as good as it gets?

I don't understand your post, as the 50D has a base Canon ISO of 100.

I have a 50D and use 100/800 all the time I use Dual-ISO.
