Hello everyone, I'm Jay. I finally owned my 1st DSLR since last year. I started with a Canon T5 and a month later upgraded to the Canon T5i because of the rotating LCD screen. I love bird watching and scenery. I'm still learning about DSLR camera and lenses. My main reason to get a DSLR was for astrophotography. I have an 8 inch SCT telescope and a 71mm doublet refractor with a GoTo tracking mount. I really enjoy the stars and planets. I started the hobby 4 years ago. I have very dark location were I live so it is perfect for that. I have taken some pictures of planets, stars and nebulas. I have seen some progress in my learning skills but I'm still a newbie and have a long way to go.

I recently learned about Magic Lantern from a fellow astrophotographer. I'm still very new to magic lantern but I will love to be able to use it to record better video and data to improve the detail of my pictures.

I hope this is a great forum to learn and people love to help others. Nice to meet you all!
