Title: Canon 5D Mark II - Shutter Count is Wrong?
Post by: Deepsnoozer on May 22, 2016, 01:11:19 AM
Hey guys, got a Mark II here, i bought it second hand and the owner told me this has been used mostly for video, and less than a few K shots had been actually taken.

The thing is, my shutter count was 24k (now 25k since i took almost 1000 pictures in the last days) 190000 or so + 170000 or so.
What?
Would these two numbers add up to be  in the high 300K's?

here's photo of what i am saying

Is this a bug?

Substract and the result is 24966, which is 25k.

How do you know 25k is the correct result?

(TLDR: we don't know the answer, but there are ways you can help to find out)

My ML Shutter count says, 17k = 14267 (matches the app) +2708
I'm assuming that the second number is the number of live view activations but I could be wrong.
