Thank you so much Axel !

I did the translation myself... if you noticed errors / mistakes... dont hesitate to tell me !

The movie is still on pre-production (looking for money...).
Spend more time on budget than on shooting...

That's part of the job..

Thank-you again !

And thank you to Magic Lantern RAW !!!!!!!!

Ce petit flick est coupé avec empatie et une plentitude des emotions. Tres, tres bien. Quelle drama... A wonderful way to use one of the world's finest cameras.

And the English translation catches all these emotions very well. You're spot on.

awesome work!

(make sure you check the English subtitles on there)

I also work with Vegas and I'm curious what your workflow was?
How did you go from .raw files on card to import into Vegas?
Then out of Vegas into Davinci?

where ? Here on this forum ? could you show me ?

QuoteI also work with Vegas and I'm curious what your workflow was?

0) copy MLraw files on a hard drive in a file
1) I extract Dng with the application "MLVMystic" = Fast and very basic but I dont need more.
2) Import Dng files in Resolve, just make white balance, use Cinelog LUT and Cinelog to rec-709 / export Proxys in Cineform 10 bits
3) Import proxys in Sony Vegas Pro, Edit and export xml to Resolve
4) grading in Resolve => Cinelog Luts, and custom Luts, and export XML back to Sony Vegas Pro
5) Import XML / use effects, transitions, put credits... and edit Master in Cineform 444

Does I answer to your question ?

Francis

I dont use AE at all...
I just did the grading on Resolve for un advertising a few days ago, and the editor was working on  AE (Editing / Fx).
We did the same "round trip" between Resolve en AE (like with Vegas Pro)

The only difference is that AE use Premiere to export the XML file.

Very nice! The look and cuts are spot on. A real teaser with the essentials to intrique.

Look forward to watching it when it is available, will you release it on vimeo on Demand or something that way in the future.

This seems like the kinda movie i would like, noir, thriller, real

Really nice feeling! Are you director and DOP? Nice in that case!

Yes, on this short film I'm DOP, director, assistant, gaffeur, driver, cook, script, production manager, assistant production manager, editor, color calibrator........ha ! ha ha !
There's no team... Only my friend Baptiste to help me, and a sound engineer (on 90% of the takes).

Incredible! I noticed you work with the same actor in several films. Can you share some of what you learned from that experience, like maybe do you find it helps you get the performance you're looking for?
