Title: Hello from Canada
Post by: grburgess on March 14, 2016, 04:21:34 PM
Hi Garry. I live in Winnipeg Canada. I first heard of ML yesterday actually. I was a bit disappointed to see that it's still not even finished for the 70D, mainly because I plan on buying the 80D when it is finally released in about 2 weeks or so.

So my first question would be this. After a new camera is released from a major manufacturer, approximately how long does it take usually before there is a ML version of the firmware.

Secondly, I heard that people run this firmware from an SD card. Does this mean that it doesn't actually burn itself into the firmware on the camera body? Does this leave the original firmware intact in the camera, or does it modify that firmware?

Top of page -> User Guide -> Install Guide/FAQ

At time of writing there is a serious manpower problem. There are so many cams and not so many people willing and able to maintain new ports.
Therefore don't expect anything get done. If your cam is not supported yet: Act like there will be no ML for your cam ever.
