Title: makebootable.sh - is this still being maintained somewhere?
Post by: 8k on January 29, 2016, 04:59:27 AM
I'm currently traveling and have very slow limited internet so I can't get MacBoot, as it requires java, I don't have it on my Mac, and I can't use EOScard as I don't have my external card reader with me, as VMware doesn't seem to want to work with the internal SD reader.

So I've found make_bootable.sh script which at one point worked on Mac, but this was years ago and no longer does, and certianly not with a 64GB XCSD card.

So my question is, has someone updated the script recently? Or is there some other tool out there now that will mark my SD card to be bootable from a Mac?

I can't belive no work has been done since 2011/2012 :(

Your cam is 600D?
If not: Download nightly build and run firmware update.

Nope, the 6D.

The camera has already got the right firmware on it, it's just this one card that got corrupted, so I need to get the boot flag etc back on it so I can use ML on this one card again. Just copying the files ML from one of my other SD cards doesn't work.
