Title: Sharpness/Noise reduction in ACR workflow
Post by: johannsebastianbach on December 22, 2015, 01:30:26 AM
Hello everyone,

one thing came to my attention is, that in all workflow tutorials posted here in forum I never seen anybody touch the Sharpness/Noise reduction controller.

In my ACR for example a little color de-noise is activated by default. So I don't really know what to do- how do these slider behave with quality and grading usability? Should one turn it completely off and do color de-noise at a different stage later or leave it on. If leave it on, why not push it more?  ::) :)

I would try it out and see if it looks good to you.

Try perhaps in both ACR and DR12 to do the comparisons and then see which one does them better?

Won't hurt to try and experiment along!
