Title: Running ML on EoS-M
Post by: Tdf110 on July 21, 2015, 03:34:30 PM
Hi guys
The instructions say something like "...to run ML, press the delete button..."

The Eos-M doesn't have a delete button. After upgrading the firmware to ML, does the EoS-M automatically run the ML firmware addon? Or is there a different sequence for the EoS-M?

Tap the screen with two fingers to show ML menu.

Either that or press the Trash button down and hold for a few seconds...

@DeafEyeJedi - Good tip. The Trash button on the EOS-M is equivalent to the Del button on other cameras. I tried it out an not only does it work but the custom function assigned in the Canon menu - custom function 6 (C.Fn IV:Operation/Others Trash) also works. Well all except if the trash button is assigned to bring up the ISO menu.

By the way, this is useful stuff -- why start a new topic? This one is is a sticky in the Camera-specific discussion area:

Couldn't agree with you more on that, @dfort!
