Title: raw video recording stops-700d
Post by: vszcecilia on July 10, 2015, 03:21:10 PM
I just installed magic lantern to my 700d and when I start video recording it stops after 3 seconds and doesn't record anything. I allowed the REC key, but it doesn't record, when I press it, after 3 seconds it says "recording stopped automagically". My SD card is 32 GB, so there shouldn't be any problems with not having enough storage. Does anyone know, how I can fix this?

- Make sure to have MLV_REC.mo *or* RAW_REC.mo running and activated in video tab. Do not try to record MLV and RAW at the same time!
- Benchmark your card. Debug tab -> Benchmarks -> Card R/W benchmark (5 min). Make sure your card is able to run with required bandwidth. 700D's SD-card interface is limited to about 40 MByte/s which will allow 720p@24.
- Recording will stop if frames are lost (using default settings).
