Hi,
I am not getting this straight.
I have followed this tutorial on this type of workflow: https://vimeo.com/66355682
Import RAW->DNG(raw2dng)->opened up in camera raw & exported to .tiff -> Quicktime 7 sequence. Well here comes the problem, the sequence looks so matte (color and contrast loss) compared to the same tiff in camera raw, why? I have also tried to make a sequence in AE, same there. Maybe some wrong settings in the tiff file?
I'll post a photo: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nqtgohcnaryg3kq/ml_matte.png?dl=0
Here is another example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dj5xt2ra2ttijvx/qt7%20and%20tiff.png?dl=0
Thanks for helping me..
Hi Anthony,
Thanks for using my guide. It's a little outdated by now, but it still works. There are simpler workflows using the rawmagic app (https://www.cinema5d.com/losslessly-compress-cinemadng-files-slimraw/) and Adobe premiere. Also the newest version of Premiere gives you great options for color grading.
Your problem seems to be Quicktime. It changes the video gamma levels. This is a common problem with QT7 that I have not found a solution for. Better use Premiere's integrated exporter then.
Hope it helps
Seb
Hi,
Thanks for the reply!
I will try that. But is it any way that I can color correct in CameraRaw if I use rawmagic?
Or do you have a videotutorial? (Step-for-step guide would be nice)
And can I use Premiere Pro CS6 instead of CC?
Did you have the same problem with Quicktime 7?
Thanks
