Title: Simple Mod of the Lens for anamorphic look
Post by: MonteNero on June 04, 2015, 01:08:42 PM
Hey guys,
Check out the modded Helios 44-2 lens. It matches a true anamorphic lens. I provide a diagram of the mod along with lens comparisons and yet another ML music cover video which was shot with the anamorphic lenses along with the modded Helios 44-2

Very good :). It's pretty much the same as http://www.diyphotography.net/diy_create_your_own_bokeh/ (http://www.diyphotography.net/diy_create_your_own_bokeh/)

But obviously it's inside the lens!

I tried it yesterday and the vignette was way too strong. I guess the inside-lens mod doesn't have that.
P.S.: getting a Helios 44-2 next week :) Super cheap but very interesting lens.
