Title: [ALREADY DONE] Exposure Value Lock
Post by: teo on June 02, 2015, 05:26:27 PM
i mostly shoot stills and one of the features that i've always wished was included in all cameras is an Exposure Value Lock in manual mode. When shooting in natural light, i am always doing reciprocal calculations in my head. The AE lock button is inoperative in manual mode. How about if when turning the (top or rear) dial to change the shutter speed or aperture while pressing the AE Lock button, the other value (aperture if changing shutter speed or shutter speed if changing aperture) would change proportionately to maintain the same EV. The same could be done for changing ISO although this would then need a decision between maintaining the shutter speed or the aperture.

Respect and gratitude to all the developers.

Ok, i've played around with it a little...

It would be great if holding the AE Lock button could turn the function on so that you wouldn't need to go into the menus to engage/disengage it.

Excuse my cheeky subject line change
