Title: The night bus // ML RAW
Post by: jackmoro on March 29, 2015, 06:27:34 PM
Was wondering how much you can film sitting at one seat :) Also was testing my new rig. Well, doesn't help much when the road is bad. With right log space ISO 1600 looks really nice imo. Recorded some sounds this time as well. Used manual lens without stabilization. Added some fine grain in post.

Thanx for watching  :)

Hi, great colors!
Can you tell me about your post workflow - grading?

It's common. raw2cdng.1.6.5 (1.7 is bugged, drops frames) > DNG > grade in resolve > export cineform avi 422 > edit in vegas > export h.264 for vimeo.

Im on win.

Hehe nice. If there was narrative it would look like a movie.

Did you add noise in Resolve? Was that a plug-in?

I used Impulz LUT as a base only. General correction was done with wheels.

Did you mean grain? Noise is what we fight to remove from footgage usually :)

uhm, far from the techincal aspects...
isnt it frowned upon to film people without asking them before?
here in germany, i would have had a very bad feeling, shooting those scenes

i'm pretty sure germany has nothing to do to make people frown :) as you know, andrew raid shooting in berlin and there're a lot of people in his films on streets he never asked permisson
being in public place you can film what ever you want in most countries
i don't have spy camera :) 6d with VF and usually 2.8 lens looks like a monster and people see me filming them, when i see (rare) they getting frown, i just stop record and usually delete this shot

awesome, especially colors. can't get such latitude from my 6d :(
as said before, adding narration could make it look like a film
