Hello

I just recently got into raw recording and decided to install DaVinci resolve, but i can't get it to work properly because every time I open the application the "window" it opens is too big which means i can't access the bottom of the app so I can switch from 'media' to 'edit' and 'deliver'.

I can't even drag or shrink the application in any way.

Does any of you have the same problem or know how to fix it?

Any response would be greatly appreciated!

DaVinci Resolve needs a screen resolution of at least 1920x1080, it sounds like your monitor doesn't meet that requirement.

Probably, you are working in a 13 inches like a Macbook Pro.
Connect an external monitor - or a monitor - with at least 1600x1080 or better 1920 x 1080.

I can confirm what budafilms and rbrune are saying. I own an iMac and a MacBook air. Resolve works properly on the iMac but not on the MacBook air. It even says it on Resolves user manual which you can download from their website

Resolve 12 now works in Macbook Air.

Very slow, of course.

But you can work in Pro Res Proxy.
