Canon's GUI is horrendous in that every menu function is stuck buried in a page and because of this , defeats the true feature strength of how a "MY MENU" page can truly benefit.
You would think that Canon could provide a firmware upgrade capable of (2) things:
1) Allowing the user to select the (enable/disable) option of keeping the last menu page active after a shot is taken and NOT defaulting back to the Main page it is buried in (ex: Flash Control> External Flash Func Setting> External Flash Func Setting Page)- thus keeping it on thE EXTERNAL FLASH FUNC PAGE Until the user changes the page; or perhaps even a Custom Page mode (Similar to the INFO button where different info pages and the level meter can be assigned or removed)
2) Allow the user user to actually CUSTOMIZE the MY MENU page to assign ANY specific page function to the MY MENU page...... (Nikon can do it...., why can't Canon)
Any ideas from anyone????
Speak to Canon about their menus.
