Title: Canon 5d MK2 Pink Images?
Post by: NKYCLDN on February 17, 2015, 05:05:24 PM
Hey, I'm fairly new to ML at the moment so please forgive my newbie-ness, I'm trying to convert a raw film to DNGs but I seem to always be getting these pink overlay tones on my DNGs. I'm using RawMagic with my processing but I can't seem to find a solution anywhere online..

RAWmagic is not supported here. Background info why: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=13335
You may contact RareVision for their support or switch to other converters.

I've tried other converters like raw2dng but I get the same issue

It looks like you're using the Mac Finder to view the images. Mac Finder has a known issue where it uses a hardcoded blacklevel instead of the one in the file (so if the true blacklevel of the raw data is different from what the Mac Finder is expecting, even if the blacklevel metadata is correct in the DNG, it will appear with a color cast like this). Try actually opening the DNGs in Photoshop/ACR or Premiere.

That has literally solved all my problems, thank you so much!
