Title: Adding photoshop RAW processing settings onto 5D for JPEGS
Post by: Andrew.trace on February 17, 2015, 02:08:05 PM
Hi,

When in photoshop processing RAW files you can export those settings to use later on other images.

Is there anyway to load those settings into the 5D mkiii as a picture profile or similar so that my JPEGS come out with that look with no time spent in photoshop?

Thanks

Andy

No. Unless you figure out how to run ACR and Photoshop on the camera's ARM CPU (hint: it's impossible). Those settings are for ACR/Photoshop, and ACR/Photoshop is required to actually apply them.

Is there anyway to do something similar? ML or non ML..
Basically I just want to pre colour my JPEGS when I'm just snapping around town.. Rather than doing them back end on the laptop.

Thanks for your response

You can create your own custom picture styles: http://www.learn.usa.canon.com/galleries/galleries/tutorials/pse_tutorials_gallery.shtml

If that is not sufficient for you, adding features like this to ML the answer will always be: No, ML is not a replacement for photoshop.

In other words... Without Adobe (ACR, PS, AE, PP, etc) then there's no Magic Lantern!

It takes two to make it worthwhile...
