Title: Dual ISO_After Converting from CR2 to DNG. The pictures gets darker?? Why?
Post by: DavidML on December 25, 2014, 12:55:40 PM
Greetings Everyone, it's David right over here.
I got this problem over here that was about Dual ISO from Magic Lantern.
After converting from the CR2 to DNG, it just became darker!!! :(

Here was the example

or
http://s10.postimg.org/471rp1z2x/10864525_980030075359878_1425919414_o.jpg
(The left side was before converting which is CR2, and the right side of the image was after converted. It became black everytime)

Is this is normal issue or something wrong with my computer???
Because i've seen this video on youtube that was fine after converting

Waiting for Great Answers!!! :)
Thanks
Peace :)
David

David

Yes, assuming it converted ok, it is normal to 'see' the dual combined DNG darker than than the input.

You should use LR or ACR to recover the shadows.

Just play around with the sliders in LR.

BTW ETTR and Dual go well together :-)

Cheers
