Title: Canon 6D - press button automatically
Post by: redlyon on November 15, 2014, 11:55:05 AM
Hello, I'd like to do some video with my canon 6d beyond the barrier of 30 minutes.
I thought of using the HDMI video output, connect my avermedia game capture II to record on a hdd.
The problem is that after having exceeded the 30 minutes the mirror closes and the HDMI output turns black.
To get around this I would need to press the AEL button-I say this because I noticed that the AEL button does not work on the video but it resets the countdown of 30 minutes.

How can I make it automatically every few minutes?

thanks

I tried to turn on "Sticky DOF Preview" and then "Sticky HalfShutter", and indeed the magic lantern software sends commands after 30 minutes, but the camera closes the mirror and then reopens it.

What to do to send commands through magic lantern before the 30 minutes so as to prevent the camera to close the mirror?

thanks
