Christophe Grenier added MLV support (http://git.cgsecurity.org/cgit/testdisk/commit/?id=801793d7d36f157a786f7301e303ab9022a1d946) to his great tool PhotoRec which recovers all important file formats.
So if you encounter card or file system trouble, download the latest 7.0-WIP version (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download) from his download page and recover as much as possible.
Thanks, Christophe!
Dope! Bookmarked!
Thanks for share. I accidentally deleted some of my video (.mlv) from CF card. Straight away I started to search for solution and was happy to try this recovery app. Unfortunately video mlv files it recovers are all 3.5mb :/ But it recovers all raw photos without problems. Maybe somebody knows working recovery solution?
Good call @g3gg0 and Thanks for sharing.
My partner from work had trouble with one of her MLV files and I led her to this app that you mentioned which seemed to do the trick for her.
Just tried to recover MLV's from a corrupted card and all recovered MLV's are 3.5 MB each... is there a reason for this?
I was told to try run it again with Paranoid mode enabled "On" under Options settings via Terminal.
Any word on this?
Accidentally deleted MLV's using ML's file manager. Photorec restores files that are 3.6mb in size. CR2's were restored just fine.
Is there a working recovery tool that can recognize and recreate mlv-files successfully? I have tried Photo rec on reading another post on the subject. However it doesn't seem to be able to recover them correctly.
Plz Share if you have had any luck with this.
Just had a partition corruption on a 256GB 1200x Komputerbay.
Update: After formatting the card with the same file system Recuva was able to recover all my files with correct file names :).
