Title: choppy resuts
Post by: stagsy on September 26, 2014, 07:20:24 AM
Shot RAW at 1920x1080 at 25fps (Canon menu), FPS Override OFF.
Converted to DNG via RAWMagic, processed in AE with Frame Rate in Render Settings changed from a wrong 30 fps to 25fps, outputted to 422 HQ and results are disappointingly choppy.

Where has it/have I gone wrong?

thanks

If you've shot and rendered using same fps, then most probably it's because moving objects were to fast for 25fps if any or panning was to fast if you did any. I've given up shooting with 24/25 because of these issues.

Well, I don't know what to say - they seem to be playing fine now...Does a mac need to "warm up??" Strange.
For anyone else whose computer is "warmed up" but is still having the same issues, I found this not under "choppy" but "jerky".....
