I have a problem when I'm using a remote control (Canon RS-80N3) to start and stop RAW recording with my 5D mkiii: there is no start beep and no stop beep. So I don't know if the camera is actually recording or not. It's pretty annoying cos my camera is mounted on a pole and I can't watch the liveview. I've enabled beeps in 'audio menu' but still can"t hear anything.
I've heard about 'sync beep' with v2.3 stable ML release. Is it possible with nightly builds?
Does anyone have the same issue and manage to fix it?

I don't have 5D3 but some of the other bodies let you disable beep in the canon menu, you may want to look there
