Title: 60D: upper dial ring uses (ISO?)
Post by: bofhland on July 11, 2012, 02:12:28 PM
Hello there!

Recently I have acquired my new Canon 60D and started using ML.

In the beginning of my way I feel a little bit stumbled upon the thing I can't use my cozy upper dial ring to change anything except SHUTTER.
Most of time I shoot video, so my shutter speed options tend to be very few and I rarely need to switch between them on the fly.

But the gain is different, you have to adjust it every time the lighting conditions change. Thinking this way there must be a trick to use such a convenient dial to control ISO.

I know you can press ISO button and change the value by the dial then, but I want this dial to control ISO instead of shutter.
Just setting SHUTTER LOCK does not help as it just stops to manipulate shutter.

Is this possible with Magic Lantern?
My version is 2.3 RC1.

No. Scrollwheels can't be fully controlled.
