Title: WAV Audio Annnotation Recording with Stills
Post by: drewaltizer on June 09, 2014, 11:32:23 PM
I would love to be able to make 1D series style audio annotations to still images by assigning an otherwise unused button to record a WAV while held down.  It would be names the same as  the preceding picture with a .wav extention.  It would need to work in stills mode

This will be very easy once the new audio backend is done: https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/branch/new-sound-system

Another way to trigger it would just be to trigger on some audio threshold while in QR. So basically if there's any sound during QR, it would get recorded (obviously this would not be for loud environments).

I might go ahead and code something up based on the new audio branch...

A front-end is already there (FEATURE_VOICE_TAGS), but needs to be updated with the new backend.

Ha! How did I miss that. Was thinking of just putting it in a module.
