Title: "Details" for Boyscout Magazine (Mildly NSFW/Lingerie)
Post by: r2cph on May 24, 2014, 09:16:51 AM

Greetings,

Shot this as a first test of ML on 5D3.

Workflow: Imported DNG-sequences into After Effects, applied VisionColor VisionLOG, did basic adjustments, rendered out 10bit Avid DNxHD, edited in Premiere, colorgrading in MB Looks.

Think I used the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM lens exclusively for this.

Hope you enjoy.

Hi,
Great video!

Can you tell me about workflow with applying VisionColor VisionLOG ?

I dont understand this step:

1. where to buy all files (visioncolor, visionLOG) to workflow please send mi url (of course without after effects)
2. have visioncolor profile in camera
2. what next?

You can download VisionColor VisionLOG for free from http://vision-color.com/visionlog/
It's simply an ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) profile. When you import a DNG sequence into After Effects, or Lightroom for that matter, you'll be able to choose VisionLOG from the Camera Profile menu.
VisionLOG gives your footage a very flat look and preserves a lot of dynamic range, and makes it easy to colorgrade.

You can simply import a DNG sequence into a 16-bit After Effects Comp, apply VisionLOG, adjust whitebalace etc. if needed, and render out DNxHD or ProRes files (Remember to use max bit depth) that are ready for editing and grading in your NLE of choice.

In-camera profiles (Picture Styles) have no effect when shooting RAW.

Hope this helps.
