Hello, i have a problem,
while i was installing ML on my 7d my screen got frozen on 20% of installation, now it cant boot up , no signs of life at all.
I removed the batteries and the card/ formated the Cf card...nada..
can you please help a bortha"?
Try latest nightly, make sure you have the proper firmware version.
if you power on the camera without a card and with fully charged batteries, what do you get?

ML does not show any percentage while installing. What exactly did you install?
i guess he is talking about the FIR loading that can show a progress bar iirc.
but didnt check if the installer FIR shows one(?)
Our installer doesn't, it just prints status messages with what it did (setting bootflag, making card bootable, error checking and so on). The old installers didn't show a percentage either.
Maybe he tried to install Canon firmware? (that one shows a percentage, and there were cases where the update didn't succeed, not related to ML).

No response at all..
i was updating the fir. to 2.0.3 ..
as a said i tried all possible known ways to get it back to live..
batt. out for 5 hours ..
cf card out/in
small batt. out
plug in into usb
..any ideas?
And A1ex has asked you what you were installing.
The percentage you are talking about is from the FW upgrade, what has ML do with it, now?
okay to clarify:
- you downloaded the official canon firmware v2.0.3
- copied it onto your memory card
- called firmware update from canon menu
- firmware update hung at 20% (for how long until you touched the camera?)
- since then the camera is unresponsive
