Title: External Monitor without Overlays
Post by: denoise on April 20, 2014, 11:30:12 PM
Hi,

when I try to connect an external monitor recording in RAW, I cannot use the display overlays (like zebra, cropmarks, etc). My only two choices are:

The external monitor with overlays but black camera display or the external monitor and display on, but no overlays

It´s a limitation or I´m doing something wrong?

thanks!

I have the same camera and the same issue.

With old versions of the Canon firmware it was not possible to have an external monitor and the built in screen on at the same time.
Magic Lantern simply displayed it's graphics on screen when the screen was otherwise blank of info (the user having pressed the info button enough times to get rid of the Canon overlays).

With the latest version it is, but I think Magic Lantern hasn't updated how it checks for Canon overlays.
